My Favorite Foodie Bloggers of 2013

This post has taken me an inordinate amount of time to put together, simply because it was SO HARD TO CHOOSE my “favorites”. There are so many wickedly talented Paleo bloggers, whether they focus on food alone or on a more holistic approach.

So here I present a list of my informal Rach-knows-best Favorite (Paleo / Primal) Foodie Bloggers – if you’re in need of some inspiration, these are all wonderful places to start!

Foodie Bloggers 2013

Steph from Stupid Easy Paleo

It’s no secret that I adore Steph. She’s smart, articulate, makes kickass Paleo food AND – even better! – makes Paleo APPROACHABLE for everyone. One might even say… stupid easy (badum bom). Did I mention that she’s a bona fide Whole 30 Envoy and talented athlete, too? Because, yep, this lady is BOSS. Steph is the creator of a kickass Learn To Eat Paleo video class that I highly recommend to people just starting on their Paleo journey.

Steph also has an upcoming ebook coming out called The Paleo Athlete: if it’s anything like the rest of her work, it will be stellar! Get a free preview of the book here.

Here she is on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Vimeo and Twitter.

Ciarra from Popular Paleo

Ciarra has a wicked sense of humor and shares my love affair with abundant garlic-usage. (“Garlic cures almost anything.”)

I can pretty much guarantee that if you see her recipes, you will be COMPELLED to cook them for yourself. I mean, who doesn’t want to eat a Paleo version of Tex Mex Casserole? Exactly.

But my favorite Popular Paleo recipes celebrate Ciarra’s Chinese-Italian heritage. If you want to make Tempura Prawns or the best Ginger Beef ever, this is where you need to be.

Karen from Living Low Carb.. One Day At A Time

I’m not really into the low carb thing, myself, but I AM into great flavors and recipes you want to make again and again! Karen’s site is a veritable gold mine of fantastic recipes and resources. Her Five Ingredient Friday series is legit and has given me some great, simple, tasty dishes to add to my “I’m too tired / lazy to cook” repertoire like this Slow Cooker Southwest Chicken.

Living Low Carb also has an ever-growing Whole 30 compliant recipe section. That comes as no surprise, since Karen is the author of a kick ass Whole 30 and 21 Day Sugar Detox compliant cookbook with over 100 recipes: Squeaky Clean Paleo!

Find her on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram and G+ here.

Kyndra from Peace, Love & Low Carb

So here’s the deal with PL+LC: it’s Primal nirvana. I feel like I should warn you before you head on over there and are seduced by all the enticing recipes on offer!

Kyndra’s photography is top notch: don’t you want to fall face first into those Loaded Sweet Potato Bites? Yeah, you do.

There are plenty of Paleo recipes to go around (this Spicy Sausage & Sweet Potato Soup is a favorite!), but I’ll admit it. PL+LC is where I go looking for some Primal comfort food. I don’t know anybody else who can transform not-so-great-for-you-food into satisfying Primal eats, like this Mediterranean “Pasta” dish.

If you’re strict Paleo, never fear! Kyndra has a cookbook available (in e-book or hard copy) which has nearly 100 dairy free and Whole 30 compliant recipes in it. Take a peek at PL+LC: The Cookbook here!

Kelly from Primally Inspired

Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Wings

I totally dig Kelly’s holistic approach to health on Primally Inspired. I especially love her posts on yoga: I use these lower back stretches daily when I’ve inevitably spent way too long sitting at my computer.

But, we’re here to talk about the food – and Primally Inspired does not disappoint. She has everything from Maple Apple Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash for breakfast to Crispy Oven Baked Chicken Wings for dinner!

Plus, Kelly can even teach you how to cook a perfectly tender grass fed steak and show you how to make awesome bone broth. Yay.
