This Privacy Policy details the types of personal information that is received and collected, as well as how it is used on and by (“Meatified”).

When you visit Meatified, some of your personal information – like your IP address – may be collected automatically. If you interact with the website, for example, by commenting on a post, subscribing to the newsletter or filling out the contact form, you may be asked to provide your name, email address or other personal information voluntarily.

You are under no obligation to provide any personal information. However if you choose not to do so, you may be prevented from engaging in certain site related activities. None of this information is linked to anything that is personally identifiable and it is collected in order to understand and improve upon the website’s functionality, for example, to help troubleshoot display problems that might be occurring with a particular browser and device combination. At no point is any of this information used to identify individual users.

This site uses Google Analytics in order to understand how visitors engage with Google Analytics is a web based tool that uses cookies and web beacons without identifying individual users and you can read how they handle and keep data secure at their Google Analytics Privacy Overview page.

Cookies and web beacons

WordPress: Meatified is built on the WordPress blog platform. WordPress stores cookies on your computer whenever you leave a comment on a post or page. The cookies record the name, email address, and URL that you choose to enter when you submit a comment.

Advertising:  This Site is affiliated with CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive (“Raptive”) for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Raptive’s data usage, click here:

Raptive: Meatified uses a third-party advertiser platform to serve ads on the site. These advertisers may also place cookies on your browser and/or use web to collect information and Meatified has no access to or control over data collected through ads served. Affiliate programs & links: Meatified utilizes affiliate links throughout the site. When a user clicks on an affiliate link, third-party affiliate marketing networks will use cookies to track that click. This is to ensure that Meatified receives a commission on the sale that occurs when a user buys a product after clicking on the link that takes them through to a merchant site. Mailing list subscribers

Meatified uses Mailchimp, a third party newsletter service, to collect the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe to receive newsletters. We use a secure opt-in subscription system and only use the email addresses submitted to contact subscribers with updates & information from Meatified. Subscribers may unsubscribe or update their preferences at any time and every email delivered to subscribers contains an “unsubscribe” & “update” link at the bottom.

What happens to collected information

Meatified may collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

• To personalize user experience
• To improve our site
• To run a promotion, contest, survey, or other site feature
• To send periodic emails if a user is voluntarily subscribed to our mailing list

Children’s information

Meatified does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

User consent

Your use of this site, in any and all forms, constitutes an acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
